What types of payment can sellers accept on Reverb?

Reverb allows sellers to accept two types of payments on Reverb: PayPal and Reverb Payments*. Sellers must accept one of these two payment types in order to list their items on Reverb. Sellers choosing Reverb Payments can accept PayPal in addition to a range of other payment methods. Sellers choosing just PayPal can only accept PayPal.

We strongly recommend accepting Reverb Payments over PayPal. Not only are our fees more manageable, but we are able to offer much better service on Reverb Payments payments than we are on PayPal payments. This is because when buyers pay with PayPal, sellers are subject to a 180-day dispute window, and they also lack access to the vast amount of gear knowledge that the Reverb staff has, which greatly assists in our ability to successfully and fairly resolve disputes. In addition to this, we are now able to offer Reverb Payments with Integrated PayPal. As a seller, this means you can accept buyers who prefer PayPal while still paying a lower processing fee and receiving Reverb Protection on each transaction - no 180-day dispute window.

Payment Methods Accepted Via Reverb Payments:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Discover Card (currently US only)
  • Apple Pay
  • Android Pay
  • PayPal
  • Reverb Bucks
  • Affirm Financing - varies by country, see details here.

We also can conveniently pay you via Direct Deposit to a bank account of your choosing, or disperse your payments in the form of Reverb Bucks, which saves you money on buying more gear.

*Reverb Payments is available in select countries, see the full list here.
