Hello, how can we help you?

How does Reverb offset carbon emissions from shipping?

As of April 2020, Reverb offsets 100% of shipping-related carbon emissions. That means that for any carbon emissions released into our atmosphere as a result of shipping items on Reverb, we invest in projects that reduce carbon emissions by the same amount.

These investments support environmental projects, such as protecting trees—including hardwoods traditionally used in musical instrument production.

How does it work?

We fund verified emissions reduction projects through our partners 3Degrees, EcoAct, and Pachama. These investments protect forests that absorb carbon, improve air quality, and provide important habitat for wildlife. We’ve prioritized protecting threatened species that historically have been used to make some of our favorite musical instruments.

Does this come at a cost to me?

No, this does not cost anything for our buyers or sellers. Etsy—the global marketplace for unique goods and Reverb’s parent company—makes the investments on Reverb's behalf.
