Did Reverb's Selling Fee Change?

Yes. On August 4, 2020, Reverb’s selling fee increased for the first time ever from 3.5% to 5%. You can read more about the change here and find answers to several questions you might have below. You can provide feedback on the selling fee change here.

  1. What do I pay if I listed my item prior to August 5, 2020?
    The new 5% selling fee applies to any item that is sold after August 4, 2020 at 10 a.m. CT.

  2. Does the new pricing apply to my previous sales?
    The new selling fee only applies to sales made after August 4, 2020, at 10 a.m. CT.

  3. Do you charge the same rate for individual and professional sellers?
    Yes, the selling fee is 5% for all sellers.

  4. Do you charge the same fee in international markets as in the US?
    Yes, the selling fee is the same for both new and used gear sold in our marketplace.

  5. Is the pricing the same for new and used gear?
    Yes, the selling fee is the same for both new and used gear sold in our marketplace.

  6. Do you charge the same fees across all types of gear?
    Yes, all types of gear, from vintage guitars to new synthesizers, are subject to the same selling fee.

  7. Did you change any other fees? 
    No, this change only impacts our selling fee.

  8. Do you still cap the maximum selling fee at $350?
    The selling fee will now cap at $500.

  9. How does this impact Bump? Do you still charge Bump on top of the increased selling fee?
    Reverb Bump will continue to be available for sellers who want to increase the exposure of their products and listings for sale on Reverb. Bump is charged in addition to the selling fee for sellers that use it.
