As of July 1, 2021, new European Union tax rules have changed the way import tax is collected.
What does this mean for my Reverb Shop?
On July 1, 2021, Reverb began collecting import VAT on physical goods under €150 that are shipped to the EU from an outside country.
For items under €150, the listing price shown to EU buyers includes the import VAT amount, making it easy to understand how much they’ll pay for your item at a glance. This VAT is automatically collected from the buyer at the time of purchase, then sent to local tax authorities on your behalf.
This means EU buyers might pay more for your items, so make any necessary changes to your listing prices.
What to do for orders placed on/after July 1st, 2021:
For shipping labels purchased through Reverb, we will automatically share our IOSS number with the carrier for you.
For shipping labels purchased directly from a carrier, you must electronically share Reverb's IOSS number (available within your order details and on your packing slip), directly with your shipping carrier, and you must not use it for any other purpose.
Never write this number on your packages. The shipping carrier should receive this information electronically. This helps to ensure that your buyer won’t be charged VAT twice.
